10 Best Hotels in Pattaya
Pattaya is blessed with some superb hotels and these are available throughout the city. Often owned by some of the major international hotel chains, you will experience first-class service, superb facilities and some of the best restaurants around. In our list we have included both the well known brands along with some of the lesser known boutique hotels that perhaps offer a little bit more character in a more traditional Thai style.
Centara Grand Mirage
The Centara Grand Mirage is located on Wongamat Beach in Naklua and has direct access to the sands. Boasting some of the best facilities in Pattaya, you will find plenty for children and adults to do along with a selection of excellent restaurants catering for all tastes and palates. The hotel has 555 rooms divided between the two towers that are each 18 floors high. All rooms offer sea views looking out across Pattaya Bay towards Koh Larn.
Holiday Inn Pattaya
The Holiday Inn opened over 8 years ago and is one of the major hotels in Pattaya located at the northern end of Pattaya Beach Road. All of 367 rooms have sea views and the hotel includes five restaurants with the Havana Bar and Terrazzo Italian Restaurant probably the best known. These restaurants are popular with both residents and non-residents. The hotel once again offers quality facilities that can be enjoyed by all guests including the excellent spa and massage.
Siam @ Siam Design Hotel
Siam @ Siam is another of the fantastic hotels that are located at the northern end of Pattaya Bay. The hotel is superbly located for Central Marina, Tiffany’s and Art in Paradise, all of which are within easy walking distance from the hotel. The 268 are all furnished to the highest possible standards and the rooftop pool and bar area offers spectacular views of the sunset. This area is extremely popular with young expats living in the city and is a hip and trendy place to go.
Cape Dara Resort
Cape Dara is situated on a headland and this gives guest unrivalled views across Pattaya Bay. All of the rooms have private balconies that offer sea views and are designed with the height of luxury in mind. Completed in 2012, the building has a sail like design, has two swimming pools and access to a private beach area. One of the restaurants offers 24-hour dining that can appeal to those arriving late or coming back after a night experiencing some of Pattaya’s famous nightlife. The fine dining Chinese restaurant is a must that all guests should try.
Dusit Thani Pattaya
The Dusit Thani is one of the best known hotels in Pattaya and oozes timeless five star luxury. As you enter the lobby area you will immediately notice that it is inspired by Thai fine art and design. The rest of the hotel has luxury gardens, large verandas and luxury boutique shops. Musicians in traditional dress play stringed instruments to add to the ambience and the sea views from throughout the hotel are excellent. Naturally, the hotel has fantastic restaurants and is superbly based on Dolphin Roundabout for easy access to the rest of the city and the major highways.
Amari Ocean Pattaya
Located close to the Dusit Thani and the Holiday Inn, the Amari Ocean is a large 5-star complex that includes two swimming pools, beautifully manicured gardens and a wide range of leisure activities. The hotel has 297 rooms that are split between the Garden Wing and the Ocean Tower. Thanks to its excellent location, the Amari Ocean is within easy travelling distance to the various shopping malls, Walking Street and Bali Hai Pier for those looking to take a trip across to the islands. As with all of the hotels, it offers a selection of superb restaurants with international chefs.
Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya
Hard Rock Hotel is located on the central part of Pattaya Beach Road and offers everything that you would expect from a well-known international brand. Its prime location means that Mike’s Shopping Mall, Central Festival and Walking Street are all close by. The hotel has a selection of restaurants as well as a business centre, a limo service, conference centre and meeting rooms. Not surprisingly, this is a very popular hotel, not least because of the famous name.
Royal Cliff Beach Hotel
Located on the Pratamnak Hill in South Pattaya, the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel is an expansive property offering truly sublime facilities that have been enjoyed by the rich, famous and Royalty over the years. This is the height of luxury and is indeed one of the largest, if not the largest hotel in Pattaya. It has fabulous restaurants, stunning bars and truly world-class facilities. Its location means that it is slightly quieter than many of the others on the list but downtown Pattaya and Jomtien are within easy travelling distance. A shuttle service, available for a small fee, is provided to ferry guests around and into the city.
Siam Bayshore Resort
This 270 room hotel is located at the southern end of Walking Street and is an amazingly peaceful resort when you consider its location. All the rooms are hidden away and you could almost imagine that the rest of the world doesn’t exist as soon as you enter. Walking Street and Bali Hai are both within a few moments walking distance. The gardens are very well kept, the rooms have been recently renovated and the hotels is generally superbly maintained. The hotel naturally offers a wide selection of restaurants and other leisure facilities.
Intercontinental Pattaya Resort
Formerly known as The Sheraton, the Intercontinental Pattaya Resort is located once again on the Pratamnak Hill in South Pattaya. This is a very private and exclusive resort where you can enjoy seclusion and just simply sit back and relax and feel all your troubles drain away.
