Possibly one of the best known intersections in Pattaya, in fact when you come through the roundabout you get the first glimpses of the ocean and the para-sailors buzzing around like mosquitoes.
Currently the whole building facing Pattaya Nua & 2nd road is being demolished.
I believe there are plans for a new shopping mall and possible a hotel, however I have been unable to confirm the exact details.
About 18 months ago a lot of money was spent laying a huge concrete slab to accommodate market stalls.
The project never really got off the ground and as you can see from the photo below the stalls have all been demolished as well as the entire building.
What a mess.
I’m excited about the prospect of a new mall as it’s within walking distance of where I live.
Landmark Kiss restaurant
This low cost open plan restaurant was a well known landmark overlooking the roundabout. They have a couple of other branches in Pattaya and I wouldn’t be surprised to see this one reopen somewhere on Naklua Road.
