This venue offers its customers a taste of South Indian cuisine. It is located on Pattaya Klang Soi 16, close to the supermarket Big C.
The owner is a gent known as Khalatbari, who has lived in Pattaya since the 1990s, after relocating here from Pakistan.
The restaurant opened its doors for the first time in 2016, with a view of delivering something special to its customers and as expected from an Indian eating establishment, the staff here are always courteous to their guests.
From the outside, you cannot miss this restaurant, due to its shocking pink front. It has a single glass door and a large sign above it, informing you that they provide South Indian food including vegetarian meals.
Inside, the decor is mainly pink and creams with a blue tiled floor. There is seating for forty customers at dark wooden tables and chairs. The tables have a glass top with a table cloth placed beneath for added effect. There is also a sofa bench seat running along the length of one wall.
Traditional Indian paintings can be seen as part of the decor too and with the temperature controlled by air conditioning and fans, you can expect pleasant conditions to enjoy your meal.
You will notice that the food is beautifully presented at Amma’s Kitchen. It comes in an assortment of stainless steel dishes, which carry meats, vegetables and seafood in rich sauces with textures that are only to be found in Indian cuisine.
Many dishes are presented for sharing amongst the diners present, whilst others are individual, depending on the meals ordered.
The diner starts the day off with their breakfast menu. They have a specific menu just for lunch and of course their mains, which are served in the evenings.
The lunch menu contains items such as Chicken Biryani or Egg Parotta, the latter being a form of flat bread.
As you study the bill of fare you will notice choices such as Pepper Idli and Chilli Idli, which is a savour rice cake. Next we have the likes of Masala, Onion or Egg Dosa.
Favourites like Chicken Fried Rice, Vegetable Noodles and Egg Burji are also available.
You can select from Butter Chicken, Garlic Chicken, Mutton Masala, a Fish Fry or a Seafood Curry from a comprehensive list.
Vegetarians may like to try their Chilli Gobi, Gobi Fry or indeed any of their special dishes created just for you.
