Bangsaen Beach beach is situated between Pattaya and Bangkok, not far from the town of Chon Buri.
It runs for approximately 2.5 kilometres and is a favourite haunt for Thais during national holidays or weekend breaks.
Pattaya has stolen many of its international visitors but this does not mean it has less to offer.
It is ideal for those who love to walk along the sandy shores, enjoying the sun and scenery.
The gentle slopes leading into the sea make for safe swimming and the fine sand is ideal for sunbathers. There is an excellent footpath adjacent to the beach for anyone wishing to avoid the actual beach front.
There are a number of hotels within close vicinity for those who fancy a longer stay and there are restaurants and other food vendors, should you get peckish.
The area is much more laid back than the party atmosphere of Pattaya or the hustle and bustle of Bangkok.
Tranquillity and an easy going atmosphere is the name of the game here, although there are the usual vendors who will rent you a beach umbrella or sun lounger and you can rent jet-skis too.
For attractions, there is a variety of bars, loads of sea food stalls, markets and shops.
