Located in Soi Pretakul, which runs from City Hall in Pattaya Nua towards Central Road, is this Thai restaurant that offers its guest quality food at reasonable prices.
It is owned by Rak, who has been a resident in Pattaya for a number of years. It opened for business in 2012 and employs 30 staff to take care of their customers.
With its 130 seats, this is a restaurant that can cater for larger groups, like family gatherings or business meals but is also ideally suited to romantic dinners for two.
The external part of the building is wooden with many hanging pot plants adorning the entrance. It has a raised area, which is fenced off and offers customers the opportunity to dine outside but under cover.
Inside the wooden theme continues with its bench style tables and matching chairs. An incredibly well stocked back can be seen as part of the fittings, with more greenery dangling from the ceiling.
It is a quaint venue, where customers can enjoy splendid Thai cuisine provided by the busy but experienced kitchen staff.
There is a lounge area, where live music is on offer for a few hours every evening.
The food is beautifully presented by the chefs. Our photos show a fish served with spaghetti and vegetables as a good example of this.
There offer a large range of traditional Thai salads, some of which are spicy, so if unfamiliar with Thai food, always ask if a dish is spicy or not – or – you could get a shock.
The menu is written in Thai, with images showing what some of them are. There is also English and Russian translations for your benefit. If you have a Thai partner, you will be fine, if not, the staff will provide assistance, if required.
Sea Bass and other seafood dishes are available from a wonderful offering from the oceans. Snacks, such as Spring Rolls and French Fries can also be ordered as light bites of extras.
Vegetable lovers are in for a treat too, as they provide a selection of colourful and tasty Thai meals, consisting of many of the local veggies.
Egg dishes, soups, noodles and rice are also aplenty from this quality bill of fare. Enjoy a tasty Omelette, Stir Fry or Spaghetti or if you wish, you can order something from their sandwich section.
And for the early riser, they have a breakfast menu too.
Firstly, Rak is proud to offer you wines from around the globe. They have a vast range to choose from.
Beer drinkers have Leo, Singha, Chang, Tiger and others served ice cold by the bottle. They bring to you fresh Thai herb drinks for you to sample plus they have a range of spirits including gins, whiskies, vodkas and rums.
Iced teas, hot coffees and soft drinks conclude the beverages section.
Lovers of Thai food, really must pay this restaurant a visit. The setting is very acceptable, with its wooden surroundings and pot plants but the food is simply excellent and if you like wine, you will love this venue.
