Lone Star Restaurant is in Soi Lenkee, which is a busy street that links Third Road to Soi Buakhao. Soi Lenkee has much to offer the tourist and expat, with its assortment of bars and restaurants, massage shops and hotels.
The Lone Star Restaurant is owned by Russel and Rick who hail from Birmingham and London respectively. Russel arrived in Thailand in 2002 whilst Rick arrived five years later in 2007. Russel also spent a number of years in Spain previously to coming to the Kingdom. Rizza, Russel’s wife is Filipino and has lived in Thailand since 2013. She acts as the businesses Operation’s Manager.
Often there are venues in the city are quite simply – unique. The Lone Star Restaurant falls into this category. Opening in 2012 as a Tex-Mex Restaurant, it offers a large selection of food from their substantial menu. Sample their signature Ribs, enjoy one of their fantastic Burgers or try their Cajun Chicken or indeed one of their many other items on the menu.
Lone Star Restaurant has daily specials to whet your appetite too, such as Sizzling Mexican Fajitas or Australian Burgers. There is something for everyone as they say. They also have a large Thai section on the menu for those who prefer to sample local cuisine.

The bar has a number of beers to select from and of course assorted spirits but in keeping with the venues theme, there are a number of premium whiskies, scotch and bourbons to choose from. Wines and soft drinks are also available.
So what makes this establishment stand out from the crowd? Well The Lone Star Restaurant is themed and has to be seen to grasp the experience. The downstairs has an American theme from days gone by. An 85 year old Bison’s head can be found as part of the wall decoration. An old saloon style piano, large model steam engine trains, carved wooden Indian busts, a cavalry sword, an army bugle, banjos and fiddles can all be found in the lower part of the building.
But the venture upstairs to the cantina and another world is exposed to you. Stop at the top of the stairs and turn around. You have just walked up a mine shaft. Around this room you will find full size mannequins depicting a saloon girl and an outlaw. Saddles, wooden
carvings and other collectible items can be seen around the restaurant. In truth there are far too many to mention here. The lighting throughout the Lone Star Restaurant is provided by carefully positioned lanterns, adding to the atmosphere of the venue it is an experience that you really have to see to believe.
