The most talked about of the beaches in the area, Pattaya Beach is a crescent shaped beach that spans the length of the city center. On one side of Pattaya’s Beach Road, tourists will find a beautiful beach during the day or night. At night however, you can make your way there for the bright neon lights and party noise coming from the adjacent sois and get some great views of the Pattaya city sign on the hill.
Beach Reclamation Project
Pattaya beach is currently part of Thailand’s beach reclamation project, to add more sand to the beaches and combat beach erosion. During the festive seasons such as Songkran, New Years and Loy Krathong, Pattaya Beach Road is one of the most popular destinations.
It is not rare at all for there to be some kind of market on any particular day and the beach side of the road seems to be the place that everyone is setting up. Care to join in any celebration? Pattaya Beach is the place to go for locals, expats and tourists alike. Several annual celebrations to include an international fireworks show can be viewed from the sands of Pattaya Beach.
Restaurants and Shoppings Close
If you are on the beach and feeling hungry, jump across the street and have your pick of the many different restaurant and eatery venues on offer. If you need to take a break from the surf, there are also several shopping outlets located nearby that may suit your fancy.
Pattaya Beach is a popular night spot for tourists. The end of the beach, is the start of Walking Street. All visitors to Pattaya will see the beach at some point or another. Beach road is accessible by walking, motorbike taxi and rental car or baht bus. Public transportation is preferred by most as parking on Beach Road is difficult due to there being no available spots to parking. Visitors to the beach that wish to drive can find parking however, inside of one of the many shopping center parking structures across the road.
