There are many bars in Soi 6, which is one of the most popular streets in Pattaya with the tourists. Many have strange or sexy names that lure customers in. The Pump Station I guess, falls into this category.
It is one of a number of businesses owned by Ploy from Kampheang Phet, a province north of Bangkok not far from the Myanmar border.
This particular business interest opened early 2016 and is one of the popular venues that attracts customers to the soi.
The bar employs ten ladies to take care of the customers. They may be seen welcoming people into the venue at is open front. As you approach, you will see the large black sign above the door with bold red lettering stating the name of the bar.
You will see dozens of fans dotted along the ceiling, all pointing downwards to keep their customers cool, which in Pattaya is often required.
Inside there is a red ambience which is emphasised by the red bar stools along one side, where customers sit at the tables. Black stools are provided at the service area for people who like a seat at the bar.
Three televisions are available within the premises, which generally show music videos for the customers.
There are large wall mirrors that add spaciousness to the venue, which can cater for around 30 customers at a time.
Customers can enjoy something from their range of bottled beers. Choose a Chang, a San Miguel or Leo or one of the many others on their drinks list. They offer a good range of spirits including vodkas, rums, gin and whiskies and they have a few shots and wines available too.
For those who are not drinking, you can enjoy one of their soft drinks. All drinks are served ice cold by one of the girls, who don’t mind sitting down with you and having a drink or two. They have happy hours but you should check at the bar for times and offers as they are subject to change. Prices however are very affordable.
Customers can visit Pump Station Number 3 from 11:00 till 02:00 any day of the week. There are always friendly staff here to welcome you and if you need someone to talk to, they are happy to oblige.
A very good bar where you can pop in as you venture from Second road to the beach or on your way back. In the evenings, Soi 6 is one of the busiest streets in the city and well worth checking out.
