Rich’s Restaurant is located at Maprachan Lake on Pattaya’s Darkside. On Google Maps, the road shows as Pornprapanimit Road but many locals will know it better as Soi Country Club.

The locale is serene, with houses and a selection bars and restaurants along the tree lined stretch or roadway. Parking is never a problem at these venues for space is freely available.

This area is popular with walkers and cyclists and those who prefer to live in more tranquil circumstances.

The Venue

This quaint restaurant offers seating outside and in the interior of what is pleasant surroundings. It has wooden tables, a tiled floor, and vibrant decoration to set the scene for diners.

A small bar sits in a corner and has a green baize pool table. Customers can play, either before or after they eat.

The venue offers plenty of space for diners and even the pool area has enough expanse, so that players have room to play and will not get in the way of other customers.

There are fans on the walls and ceiling to maintain the temperature for patrons and a selection of plants, adorn the sides of the premises, adding more colour and charm.

This really is a pleasant environment to sit down with your family or friends for a meal.

There is also an area featuring a large sofa, which is set aside from the rest of the restaurant in such a way that it resembles a small living room. Pictures on the walls add to its appeal.

The Menu

The menu at Rich’s Restaurant consists of a variety of food offerings from basic Club Sandwiches with delicious fillings, Cheese Burgers and French Fries.

But they have a diverse variety to their bill of fare with items like Pork Cordon Bleu, New Zealand Mussels, a choice of salads, Shrimp in a tasty Fish Sauce, Fish and Chips, a range of Pizzas and an wide selection of Thai food.

Irrespective of what delicacy you opt for, it is evident that the chef takes great pride in preparation and presentation before it is placed in front of the customer.

The food is fresh and appears with vibrant looking vegetables. Even when you observe the Thai food coming from the kitchen, you cannot help but notice the array of vivid colours on the plates, beautifully arranged by the kitchen staff.

Order Spring Rolls and they take the time to place them in decorative fashion, almost like a work of art. Pizzas are served on round wooden boards and neatly sliced for you, with the cheese melting temptingly before your eyes.

Main courses arrive with the meat or fish, beautifully garnished by colourful vegetables and specially arranged salad and sauces.

Credit to the staff employed here, for they really do take pleasure from their work.

The bar sells a good selection of beers, spirits, wines and soft drinks with teas and coffees being available too.

In Thailand employees always welcome you with a warm smile and are eager to ensure you enjoy your visit.

Whether you are eating a tasty Thai meal or enjoying a traditional offering such as bangers and mash or their all day breakfasts, you should appreciate the cuisine of offer.

There is parking available.  It takes aroun 20 minutes travelling time but it is worth it. Rich’s Restaurant is an excellent place to escape the bustle of the city.

You can always pop along and just enjoy a game of pool or a cold beverage.
