The Robin Hood Tavern is a large old English style pub situated in the Avenue Shopping Mall on Second Road. It is primarily a sports bar that offers live music, good beers and excellent food.
The bar is accessible from Second Road by the regular baht bus services or you can park in the Avenue Mall car park from Soi Buakhao 15 and walk through the shops to get there.
From the ground floor, you can enter via the stairs, which face Second Road or their is an elevator further inside the mall. Once on the first floor, you will see its brickwork design exterior, the company name and logo and two large wagon wheels, one on either side of the wooden doors. More often than not, one of their friendly service staff, will be waiting to escort you in and locate a table for you and your party.
Inside, the bar features a lot of glass and dark wood, with an oval shaped bar. There are numerous tables and bar stools for you to make use of in the air conditioned setting.
Being a sports bar, you will find many televisions around the venue, including one of the city’s largest screens, which resides in a private room and can be booked for functions. There is a pool table and dart board for you to make use of.
There is also seating outside, that offers excellent views along Second Road and the nightly street vendors, who operated close to the bar.
The food on offer covers a variety of styles and begins with breakfast, with options or a large, small or a healthy option available.
As you move towards the main courses, there are home made soups, black pudding with bubble and squeak, smoked salmon and scotch eggs on the starters section, plus many other options.
The mains contain items like slow braised ham, beef casserole and British pub standards like cottage pie, fish and chips, gammon steak, various pies and hunter’s chicken.
You will find a wide range of steaks, chops, burgers, snacks and of course desserts.
There is a very good kids menu, with sausage and mash, pizza, fish fingers and burgers to name some of the items to keep the children happy.

On Sunday’s they offer their special carvery, which includes soups, four roasted meats in tasty gravy with all the trimmings.
Draught beers, although not rare in Pattaya, are not usually found in the many bars around the city but the Robin Hood has them in abundance. They sell Thatcher’s Gold, Guinness, London Pride, Tiger, Heineken, Koppaberg, Stella, Peroni and many others.
They have canned beers and ciders, the expected bottled range, where again, they stock more brands than most of their competitors.
They have a good cocktail list to select from so if you fancy a Mai Tai, a Pina Colada or Sex on the Beach, simply ask the waitress when you are ordering.
They excel with their spirits menu, offering all the top imported and local brands and you can even purchase by the bottle.
Wines, shakes, soft drinks or tea and coffee complete the drinks list.
You can view all the latest sporting events here including action from the EPL. Live music is often available or special events featuring comedians and on occasion, they invite special guests along for a night. For instance they had boxing legend Frank Bruno in attendance and some well known faces from the world of rugby.
There is so much on offer here. Good food and drink, live entertainment, sports and an excellent service from their friendly staff, who look immaculate in their company uniforms.
