Introduction

Simon’s Fish & Chips restaurant began life in 2004. It is currently owned by Malcolm, who has been in Thailand since 2011. He was born in New Zealand but spent most of his life in Australia’s Gold Coast.

The venue can be found in Jomtien, just off Jomtien Sai 2, near the Jomtien Complex.

It employs five full time staff, who are friendly and happy to see new customers.

The Venue

With a capacity of 34 seats, it’s open front and blue decor; this excellent chippy brings a great choice of seafood – but offers so much more.

Customers can sit in or outside on wooden tables and chairs, with fans blowing cool air downwards to keep them cool.

A television is provided for entertainment, which will either have the latest sporting events or music videos on display.

Good Old Fish And Chips

It is all about the food at Simon’s and they have a great selection at reasonable prices to tempt you with.

As you would expect, white fish, and in particular cod, features on their menu. Select from Icelandic cod in crispy batter, served with tartar sauce and home made chips and salad. You can add beans, peas or even gravy if you please.

Other fish on offer are shark, which many tourist may never have sampled before. When in Rome, and all that. Give it a try.

Snapper fillet, Scottish haddock, are also available in this section, plus many more. Sizes and portions are available to suit all appetites.

For pie lovers, try a steak and kidney, minced beef or chicken and mushroom pie. Consider English style food with double egg and chips, large sausages, burgers or sample their pizzas or maybe a surf and turf.

They have a selection of Indian food including chicken madras and onion bhaji for example.

From their local selection, enjoy a Thai omelette, pad Thai, fried noodles with chicken or spicy spaghetti with prawns.

Finish off with an apple crumble, ice cream sundae, cheesecakes or tasty chocolate sponge.

The menu is extensive and caters for most tastes at Simon’s.

Drinks

Have glass of wine, a beer, one of their many spirits or maybe something from their cocktail list.

Soft drinks or teas and coffees can also be purchased too.
