Introduction

This massage shop is located just inside what is known as the “dark side” of Pattaya on a street called Khao Talo. The term “dark side” conjures up some strange idea about what could possibly lie in wait in this region of the city but generally, it is a residential housing area with an abundance of small businesses.

There are some excellent bars and restaurants for example and you may find the cost of living a lot cheaper than the tourist based city centre.

The business was opened by Rita back in 2015 after she relocated from Maha Sarakham, a province to the north east of Pattaya as you head towards Laos. That was in 1998, so she can more or less claim to be from Pattaya.

The Shop

Rita employs five experienced and fully trained masseuses to take care of her customers and the many services provided.

The shop window provides a few of the massages available and features cartoonish style characters above the door.

Inside there are five chairs and eight beds, where the treatments take place. The chairs are a burgundy colour and the beds all come with their own privacy curtains as expected.

The decor is a mixture of pastel paints and wall decorations.

The premises has everything required including the experience of the ladies to provide you with an excellent service.

What Massages Can You Have

Basically, you can enjoy all treatments here but they tend to advertise only a few. The Thai massage, the foot massage, aloe vera, body scrub and oil massage can be considered to be their most popular services.

Another one they offer is the Thai Herbal Massage. This treatment dates back almost 5000 years, so its fair to say the Thais have had plenty of time to perfect it. The herbal treatment was originally designed to relieve pain and inflammation. It makes use of herbs like ginger, turmeric and lemongrass, which are wrapped in a muslin ball, compressed, steamed and finally applied to the area of the body, which requires healing. The technique uses gentle presses, with a mixture or rolling and circular movements to obtain the best results.

The treatment is known to ease fatigue, stress, improve blood circulation, stimulate the organs and increase general well being of the receiver.

It also alleviates pain, swelling, stiffness of joints, muscle pain, backache along with anxiety, in a truly relaxing massage.

Most massages offer a range of benefits and we would advise speaking to one of the ladies about any requirements you may have. For example a sports injury may benefit from this treatment or indeed an oil massage.

Conclusion

Being in the non tourist area of the city, the massage business is likely to rely heavily of local people and expats for its trade. This of course means repeat customers, which in turn suggests they have happy clients.

If you haven’t enjoyed the likes of an oil massage, stop what you are doing and try one today. It is an amazing experience.
