While it may seem a shadow of its opening days, the Avenue shopping center on Pattaya’s Second Road is still one of the main stops for shopaholics while they are on holiday.
The Avenue has an assortment of smaller retail stores for patrons to walk and browse out of the heat from the sun thanks to the giant solar cover overhead.
Aside from clothes and shoes shopping, the Avenue also plays host to a Boot’s pharmacy, realty offices, a tattoo supply shop and Villa Market, one of the most frequented grocery stores in the area. Villa Market carries everything that you need for your day to day living in Thailand.
If you are in search for something that feels a little like back home, just head on in. The supermarket covers a very large area and stocks a variety of local goods as well as imported products from the UK and USA.
Restaurants & Food
Feeling hungry? There is no shortage of eateries at the Avenue. Visitors will be able to find something to cover them every meal of the day there. The Robin Hood Tavern, Starbucks, McDonald’s, OISHI Sushi Buffet, Beer Fest, Pizza Pizza and much more is on offer to fill the void in your stomach.
Night Time Market
Visitors to the shopping center in the evening will see it in a completely different light than daytime patrons. At night The Avenue turns into a semi-market of local vendors and food carts offering up everything from fried bugs to kebabs. If you are getting ready to home and forgot to grab trinkets for loved ones, this is the place to head. Many vendors gather at the front of the Avenue every night to offer their wares to passersby for next to nothing prices (if you can haggle a little.)
Though the Avenue can’t stand against larger competitors such as Central Festival for shopping purposes, they are still holding their own and adapting where need be to fit into the scheme.
If you are looking for a great night of family entertainment, the Avenue shopping complex also offers a bowling alley and a cinema for a little family competition or to catch up on the newest released flicks.
