This is a very popular venue which which gives its address as Soi Kophai 10 but Google Maps says it is on Soi Regional Land Office. Either way, you should find it as the two streets meet at the Lion Pub.
The bar has been in existence since 2003 but was recently taken over by Cato, who came here on holiday, was smitten by Pattaya and purchased the bar.
He comes from Oslo in Norway and took over in August 2017.
There are 20 staff employed in the venue which can cater for as many as 150 customers at any given time.
A Bar With A Roar
The Lion Pub is huge. It has seating both inside and out but most people will always make their way into this classic pubs interior, where you will find at least 17 televisions displaying every sporting event from around the world.
They have two pool tables and an extensive menu, where you can select quality food, carefully prepared by their fully trained chefs.
There are always plenty of girls on duty but you will never be pressured into buying drinks for them. They will, if you beckon them over, sit and chat and have a drink should you wish.
It is fully air conditioned, features a large rectangular bar, tall tables and stools and a stage where live bands play on selected evenings.
Sporting memorabilia can be found around the walls of the spacious premises, which is an excellent venue for a meal or drink. This is the sort of place you would be happy to take your partner too, for it offers pleasant and comfortable surroundings to relax in.
They also have 18 rooms where guests can enjoy a pleasant stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre but still within easy access of all the city’s nightlife and tourists attractions.
You will find a range of draught beers and ciders as well as all the well known bottles of beer sold around the city. Spirits are aplenty with gins, rums, vodkas and whiskies all being available. Wines are also on their drinks list along with shots or soft drinks.
They do have happy hours and special offers, so check with the venue to see what is on offer when you are there.
There is an extensive range of food on offer from western to Chinese and Thai. For instance you can order Chow Mein or Stir Fried Noodles, a Spicy Shrimp Salad or one of their many snacks and sandwiches.
A Monster Hot Dog, Chicken and Pork Fillets and a good choice of Burgers can be found on the western section. They have delicious hot rolls consisting of Roast Beef, Lamb, Pulled Pork or Bacon and Egg.
An excellent range of snacks for those who fancy a light bite is evident on their bill of fare. Chilli Cheese Fries, Soups, Seafood, Combo Platters, Chicken Dippers, Lamb Kofta, Nachos and so the list goes on. We might as well mention the pastas and pizza section too, which is also very good indeed.
You will not be disappointed by either the content of the menu nor the quality of the cuisine served from the kitchen.
The rooms fall under the name of Liberty Mansion, which sits above the large bar. You will find 18, modern and well equipped rooms here.
Air conditioning, desk, television, en-suite, mini bar, fridge and a microwave all come as standard. You can expect to see coffee making facilities and a toaster for your convenience in each room.
Some feature a kitchenette too, for those who like to do a bit of cooking.
Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the venue and room service is provided by the Lion Pub.
The Lion Pub is a fantastic venue for sports, music, food and drink lovers. It has a relaxing atmosphere where people can chill and enjoy a game of pool. The staff are friendly and always eager to please but without hassling the customer.
