The Triangle as it is commonly known by its regulars is one of the best known music venues in Pattaya, offering nightly events to its many customers.
The bar is owned by Steve from Abergavenny in South Wales and Tongtip (Poo) from Surin. They took over the bar in January 2017, with the venue originally opening in 2012. Steve is a former hotelier, who moved to Pattaya back in 2005, with Poo having been in the city since 2007. The pair have been together from 2011 and now run this very successful business.
You will find them genuinely nice people who are happy to mingle and chat with their customers during opening hours.
The bar offers full time employment to 15 staff, including a bar manager and service staff, who take care of their many customers.
You will find the staff here are friendly and efficient as they go about their duties and are always on hand when required.
The triangle bar sits on the corner of Soi Excite and Soi Bumpy or to give them their proper names, Soi Chalermphrakiat 23 and 25 respectively. It is 25 metres from the Oasis Go-Go on Soi Buakhao and 250 metres from LK Metro, a popular adult entertainment zone.
It is a triangular shaped venue, which is where it gets its name. Two of the sides are open, offering views across the street to restaurants and massage shops.
The bar features high tables and barstools, with a capacity of 110 seated customers.
The stage is to the rear, where a five piece band performs every night of the week. They have two regular bands, who play on different nights, bringing to you a range of classic rock, soul, pop and current tunes.
They also bring in special acts such as the wonderful Jerry Carlson, who performs his brilliant Jerry Lee Lewis tribute. Other acts include the Thai Bee Gees, The Bangkok Beatles and Tim Hedges, who pays pays homage to Elton John. There are many other brilliant singers and musicians who have appeared here and no doubt there will be many more in the future.
The music starts every evening from 21:00 through to 01:00.
If sport is your preferred choice for entertainment in a bar, the Triangle has seven televisions and a large screen projector. They show all the latest sporting action from around the world, including rugby, football, boxing, snooker, F1 and much more.
This is a very busy venue, so if attending a music event, it is advisable to get along early to obtain a seat. On many occasions, you will find that it is standing room only, especially when they have special guest playing.
The bar offers a 2 for 1 system, which basically means you pay for two when you order and you get the second one when you are ready for it. The system works well and is easy to track on your computerised receipt. The drinks are very reasonably priced and you have no need to worry if you don’t feel like drinking the second one, for they will bag it and let you take it home.
They have all the popular bottled beers such as Chang, Leo, Tiger, Singha and so on plus a full range of spirits including vodkas, gins, rums, whiskies, shots and liqueurs, all on the two for one offer. Special beers include Laos Light and Laos Dark.
They also have a decent cocktail menu for those who enjoy something a bit different.
Ciders like Magners, Thatchers, Moose and Stowford Press are also available and like the cocktails, these are purchased as single items.
If all that is too much for you, enjoy a soft drink or a tea or coffee.
Although the venue does not offer food, they do provide a menu from the Chow Soy restaurant across the street. The girls will take your order and it will be delivered direct to your table.
An excellent music and sports bar, with friendly hard working and fun loving staff.
The bands and special guests are always highly entertaining, delivering top quality music.
The ladies will happily chat to you, if and when time permits, so if on your own, purchase a lady drink and enjoy their company.
Pop in and check the Triangle Bar out and like many others, you could become a regular customer at this venue.
