Danny is a former bar and club owner in his home country of Australia but moved to Thailand many years ago. He has owned Walkabout Creek since 2013. He is married to Mae and has been since 2010.
The venue employs around 17 staff, who work tirelessly to ensure the bar’s many customers are happy during their visits. It is located on the corner of Third Road and Pattaya Tai, so it’s easy to get to by baht bus or motorbike taxi. But should you be driving, their is a vast car park to the rear.
This bar could be straight out of the movie Crocodile Dundee. It is rustic, with wooden flooring and tables, with 78 bar stools for customers to rest on as they enjoy a cold drink. Three televisions display the latest sporting events in what is effectively an “Aussie sports bar”.
You will see a lot of Australian memorabilia around the bar such as football shirts, photos, various signs, loads of caps that hang from the ceiling, pennants and even a tree sprouting out from the floor of the venue. The bar is spacious, so even when its very busy, you still have room to relax. When there is no sport on display, music videos provide the background music.
