Anyone fancy some Thai food in an open air barbecue style restaurant, featuring live music? Then read on, especially if in the Thepprasit Road or Jomtien areas of Pattaya.
The venue opened to the public in 2015 and currently employs 12 people. It has a capacity of 100 people, who can dine, drink or be entertained at the venue.
You will find the club on Thepprasit Road almost adjacent to Soi 17.
The premises is open plan, with an assortment of hanging lights to brighten it up when darkness falls over Thepprasit. It has large wooden tables, with matching chairs, that resemble furniture many of you may know from Ikea. Lanterns hang from above, bringing an ambience to the dining area and the bar.
There are four televisions available, which generally show any sporting action that may be on or news coverage.
The bar area is once again, a mid range coloured wooden affair with stools placed around it for those who like to sit and drink with the bar staff for company.
Towards the other side of the bar, there are further wooden tables and chairs and a blue baize pool table. Some of the tables are covered with a roof, supported by wooden beams, offering an oriental or traditional Thai setting.
You will find a stage, where bands perform five evenings per week.
The menu is written in Thai with loose translations into English but to help those who cannot read Thai, they have images of what the dish is.
Select from items such as Chim Jum, Fried Duck, Crab, Fried Fish, Spicy Oysters or even Sushi.
You will find many meat based dishes with the likes of Minced Pork, Sweet Liver, Grilled Beef a good range of curries such as chicken, pork, beef, fish or how about a Frog Curry.
Now they have an item called Crispy Morning Glory, which I am assured is a traditional Thai vegetable dish, possibly in an Oyster Sauce.
Try their Spring Rolls or Fried Prawn Balls, Squid in Garlic along with many other famous Thai dishes.
From The Bar
To accompany your tasty food, you can enjoy healthy fruit juices. Or if you prefer, they have a selection of Thai whiskies for you to try. They sell bottled beers, a few cocktails, spirits and soft drinks too. If you wish a tea or a coffee, that is not a problem for the staff at Zap Ver Country Club.
Thai people love places like this but of course foreign visitors are always welcome to go along and sample the range of Thai cuisine on offer.
With night time live music on most nights, they provide a good setting for a night out.
Check to see what specials they have on offer, which will be advertised around the venue.
