The Old Couse at Siam Country Club:

Siam Country Club’s Old Course is one of the most famous courses in the kingdom having been built way back in 1971 at which time it was the first privately owned course in Thailand and is considered by most articles online to be in the top 10 best courses for all of Thailand. The beautiful tree lined 18-hole, par 72 course has played host to multiple professional tournaments over the years including the Women’s LPGA championship. The course was closed for a year from 2006-2007 where it was completely renovated where while most hole positions were kept the same all other aspects of the course were modernised and improved to international championship standards. There is now a total of 101 bunkers for golfers to test their skills at avoiding making the Old Course right up there for golfers who want to challenge themselves and play on an international championship standard course. The Siam Country club is roughly a 25 minutes’ drive from the centre of Pattaya and the course is open 7 days a week.

St. Andrews

St. Andrews 2000 Golf Club:

St Andrews 2000 Golf Club was opened in as the name would suggest the year 2000, designed by English architect Desmond Muirhead and is hailed as one of Pattaya’s most interesting courses as it was built to imitate a Scottish links course. The course itself is a 18-hole par 74 and is aimed at accomplished players with a handicap of 18 or fewer featuring elevated tees and greens, split elevation fairways and two par 6 holes making this course a real challenge even for experienced and professional golfers, so probably not the best one to start on if you haven’t been swinging a club very long. The course is located close to Bang Chang a small town about 40 minutes’ drive from Pattaya and proves to be a popular after golf watering hole for many players.
