Soi Buakhao is a very popular area for many of the expats living here and also popular with the British long term holiday makers with a lot of good English bars around
If you have been to Pattaya in recent years, you have no doubt heard the name “Soi Buakhao.” The street is on the up and up with regards to tourist activity and successful nightlife establishments.
Often referred to as the next Walking Street, Soi Buakhao is a mini-city in and of itself.
On Tuesdays and Fridays visitors to the area can find the Soi Buakhao market in full swing. They offer up some of the best deals on clothing and other personal accessories and is a very good spot to stock up on the required gift trinkets for loved ones back home.
Soi Buakhao is one of the streets in Pattaya that never sleeps. In the daytime it is a bustling hub of activity with people frequenting the banks, mini-marts, restaurants and local markets but at night, it becomes something completely different. At night, Soi Buakhao’s normal businesses shut down and signs from Bars, Nightclubs and Agogos replace what light is lost from the sun going down.
As if the experience of the Soi Buakhao bars wouldn’t be enough, there are several entertainment complexes located on Soi Buakhao full of beautiful sirens calling out to passersby.
Soi LK Metro has the majority of the agogo bars and larger drinking bars while just down Soi Buakhao at Action Street, you will find yourself in more of a relaxed open-air beer bar setting similar (though not as popular) as Soi 6.
In the mood for a massage?
There are literally hundreds of Massage parlors in the Buakhao area offering whatever kind of massage you may be after from typical Thai massage to the always relaxing oil or “Soapy” massage. If it is a massage that you are after, Soi Honey is one of the more visited places, but they are on offer everywhere, just look around.
Somewhere to Stay
If you haven’t booked a place to stay, and are alright with a little late night noise, Soi Buakhao offers up very reasonable accommodations with regards to quality and price. Nearly every business is set up in a typical Thai shop house and most have rooms for rent above for travelers. If you don’t feel like booking an entire room for yourself, there are also a few different backpacker’s style accommodations on Soi Buakhao.
